Lynn Goff MS, ATC, CSCS, ACI
Lynn Goff MS, ATC, CSCS, ACI is a New York State
and NATA Certified Athletic Trainer as well as
an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist. Additionally, Lynn is also certified
as a Golf Performance Specialist by Kinetic
Golf. Lynn received her Master’s degree from
Illinois State University in 1997. She has 10
years of Athletic Training and Strength and
Conditioning experience, training high school,
college, and professional athletes.
Lynn joined Professional Orthopedic and Sports
Physical Therapy in July 2004. In conjunction
with being a Strength Coach in the Professional
Athletic Performance Center, Lynn also serves as
Sports Medicine Coordinator. Previously, Lynn
served as the Fitness Coordinator for the
Recreation Center at East Carolina University in
Greenville, NC, and lectured regionally on
health and fitness while also serving as adjunct
faculty at the university. Additionally, she
served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Lane
Technical High School in Chicago, IL and at the
College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL, while
also serving as adjunct faculty in the Athletic
Training program at Trinity International
University.
Paul R. Fick, MS, ATC, CSCS
Paul is a NYS and NATA Certified Athletic Trainer
and a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning
Specialist since 1995. Paul received his
Master's of Science Degree from Long Island
University, graduating with High Honors. As a
former Swimmer, spending two years at Drexel
University then returning to Stony Brooks Men’s
Swimming Team, Paul heads our Swimming Specific
Strength and Conditioning Program. He has
coached at North Shore Aquatic Association in
Stony Brook and spent one year as the Assistant
Swim Coach at Stony Brook University.
In addition to coaching athletes from all sports
and at every level, Paul is the Director of
“Back in the Game”. A unique program that
centers on helping children with cancer and
other blood disorders, regain their balance,
flexibility, overall conditioning and most
importantly their confidence through a
structured strength and conditioning program.
Professionally, Paul has over 12 years of
orthopedic, sports medicine and strength and
conditioning experience. During his career he
has served as the Coordinator for Sports
Medicine for a large Physical Therapy Company,
an adjunct Professor for Long Island
University’s Athletic Training Program and the
Head Athletic Trainer at Iona Preparatory High
School and Holy Trinity High School. Currently,
Paul is the Director of Marketing for
Professional Orthopedic and Sports Physical
Therapy.
Scott Muggeo, MS, ATC, CSCS
Scott Muggeo is a NATA, NYS certified athletic
trainer. Scott graduated from Binghamton
University where he received his degree in
psychology. He received his Masters in Athletic
Training in 1997 from Long Island University
where he graduated with academic excellence.
Scott joined Professional Orthopedic and Sports
Physical Therapy in July 1999. During his
career, Scott has been the Head Athletic Trainer
at St. Mary’s High School and Manhasset High
School and has been the Strength and
Conditioning Coach at St. Mary's High School.
Additionally, Scott is the Head Athletic Trainer
for the New York Apple Core Junior Ice Hockey
Team and strength and conditioning consultant
for many of their athletes.
At the Performance Center, Scott heads our Golf
Performance Enhancement Program working with
local golf professionals and competitive and
recreational golfers in assessing, creating, and
coaching specific workout programs for golfers.
He is certified in both the Back to Golf ™ and
Kinetic Golf ™ programs. As strength and
conditioning coach, Scott has coached many
professional athletes individually and worked
with all sports and skill levels.
TARA ROMEO, BS, NSCA-CPT
Tara comes to us from Florida Atlantic University
where she received her degree in Exercise
Science and Health Promotion. Tara completed 400
internship hours with the PAPC and was
subsequently hired as a Strength and
Conditioning Coach and Personal Trainer in May
of 2009. Tara has worked with many teams and
individual athletes ranging from Youth to
College athletes. She currently is Assistant
Strength Coach for the Nassau Community College
Baseball and head coach for our “Super Girl”
softball training program. At FAU Tara was
President and Captain of the first Club Women’s
Rugby team.
HOWARD FOX, BS, CSCS
Howard, a recent graduate of Hofstra University’s
Exercise Science program, recently was added to
the coaching staff of PAPC after completing 300
internship hours with us. As a Performance
Coach, Howard’s main role is running our Quic-Fit
program instructing the cardio circuit classes
on a daily basis. Howard is our main Personal
Trainer specializing in post-therapy training,
sports performance training, and weight
management. Howard is currently pursuing his
Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Toro College.
Howard has been playing competitive ice hockey
his whole life participating in Club Ice Hockey
at Hofstra University and currently plays in a
Men’s league.
