Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Bloomsburg University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Mike also holds a Sports Performance Coach certification through USA Weightlifting.
Mike began his career at Adelphi University assisting with the testing of NHL athletes and triathletes along with being a member of the Division II baseball team. Mike continued his professional career at Bloomsburg University as Strength and Conditioning coach. In this position, he was responsible for all strength and conditioning programs for the baseball team and red-shirt football players. Following his stint with collegiate athletes, Mike was hired by the Colorado Rockies organization to work as the head strength coach for one of their minor league teams. He coached many current MLB players and worked alongside well respected coaches in the field.
Other professional responsibilities included working with former #4 ranked world ATP tennis star, Todd Martin in coaching elite high school tennis athletes. Mike has also published several peer reviewed articles along with given numerous lectures on areas such as strength and conditioning, athletic skills evaluation, and the prevention & care of athletic injuries to colleges and high school athletes.
Overall, Mike has experience creating and facilitating sports performance programming, training and testing for MLB, NFL, NHL, Olympic-level and Division I, II, III collegiate athletes as well as high school and junior high school athletes.
